My '02 Viper had a PO 441 code last year and I cleared it. It didn't come back on until now (about 1500 miles since). This time I got a PO441-P accompanied by a PO443. The car runs great. I cleared both codes, but I'm unsure whether to continue ignoring the issue or take it to a shop for repairs.

I did check to make sure it's tight. I ordered a new gas cap last year when the code appeared and have been using that one just to be sure. I turn the cap until it clicks several times. The seal looks good.

The P0441 is a purge flow issue. The PCM detects incorrect purge vapor flow. The P0443 indicates an electrical problem in the purge valve control circuit. It could be a faulty purge valve, wire issue, or PCM.

My car developed a high tank pressure issue. Turns out the purge solenoid was packed with carbon granules from the canister under the headlamp. That's unlikely on the 00+ with the canister behind the passenger rear.
