Looking for a Viper V10 (or RAM SRT10) engine for a Jeep (yes, Jeep) project.
Im just relaying what others have said about the motors in both towing and rock climbing; theyre not impressive under heavy load at low RPM. Looking for a Viper V10 (or RAM SRT10) engine for a Jeep (yes, Jeep) project.
Both Ram V10s and Gen1,2,3,4,RamSRT Viper V10s are plentiful online if you dig around, but the aluminum blocks wont come cheap. Theyre big, heavy, and will require ALOT of fabrication and plumbing on a 4.0L Brute/JKU Chassis. The only successful swap I know of was on a CJ7 and, if I remember...- Bonkers

If I remember correctly the only sequential VINs were on the 1998 GT2s. Its an interesting number for sure, but I dont think it was the 7th built either GTS or 1996. That being said I think the VIN would only be a sellng point to someone who doesnt understand automotive assembly (ie, not a car...- Bonkers

Where do you think the '17 VOI should be held?
To me the race and cruise venues are fun, but they require a lot of work (funding, planning, insurance, ect...) The most fun I had at a viper event was the New Brunswick ZR - Hotel, Drag Strip, AutoX... rain... No schedule to keep, and heaps of fun under 120mph. Saddly Ive already scheduled...- Bonkers

Personally, Id rather drive cross country for a geniune meeting of enthusists than a rubber-stamped sales convention. The only real problem with lack of people is agreeing to a venue we all can afford. Some past VOIs ran better than $2m and i dont have that kind of cash laying around right now...- Bonkers

No, the sheer level of sales put into that ad is a thing to behold. If you read it carefully there's not a whole lot of info for the amount of words put into it. Soft parts do, hard parts dont. Most cars today are built soft for safety and fuel economy. Id be surprised if even some of these pampered cars (Enzo, Pagani, ect...) are even drivable in 100 years while Model Ts are still being driven today...- Bonkers

2006 viper, current coolant is orange, coolant I bought is pink, can I mix?
Dont mix! Orange and Pink coolants use acids as a replacement to glycol - some of those dont play well with each other. Even pink to pink can sometimes cause issues. When I switched over to mopar pink, both the SRT guy and Tator had me flush the system several times to make sure all the other...- Bonkers

Very Nice! To me a well maintained 100k car will always have more value than a 10 miles MSO trophy. Modern motors are built to last a lifetime - the rubber/electronics, not so much when you stop using them...- Bonkers

1995 Viper Engine Swap
I'd listen to whatever Tom is PM'ing you about. Beyond that, a Gen1 motor will be cheaper, easier to find, and give you the least amount of headache installing. The bonus 15hp (for 96-98) and/or 50hp can be found in upgrades.- Bonkers

She suddenly decided to power up and run... just long enough to move the 10ft I needed to clear the lift for jacking her up. New Optima on the way... She's tapping baddly under the hood, but I think I remember Tator telling me something about the valves tap if she sits for too long... either...- Bonkers
