    I would suggest you check the ball joints for looseness before just deciding to replace them. It is far more likely that your inner tie rods are loose and worn out.     Run the engine in the dark and look for wire arcing. Pull plugs 5, 7 and 9 to compare them. Look carefully for signs of ceramic cracks, or grounding paths from wire/boot to plug heat shields.

    I'm using Valvoline 75W-140 synthetic in the handy squeeze bag. It already has the friction modifier in it. Our diffs don't hold a lot of oil and if you're running it at the track with regularity, I recommend changing about every 12-18 months.
