Help! Gen 1 engine coolant leak
It's a Gen1. Tstat is at the back of the motor. Revving the engine may have worsened the leak an could have sprayed into the valley.- GTS Dean

Gen1 hard door windows
Just a heads-up from a 30 year Viper owner - the engineers fiddled with the latch mechanisms throughout the Gen 1 production run. Nothing major, just fractional tolerance deals. If there are choices for hard tops, it is best to try and buy one that is known to fit well on the year model you have.- GTS Dean

Knocking at My Back Door?!
Have a friend rock the wheels F/R with no load. Feel around the inner and outer half-shaft connections for slack associated with the knock. I just looked closely and mine does not have the bead at the top of the tube. It was smooth before brazing on the threads. You have a dipstick in the engine. If it is long enough for both marks and another 1.5+ inches, just call it good. Mark yours to match my 96 couple's and just pour in 8 qt of fresh oil. Tom, the tube and bracket you have are correct for your '96 GTS. If you pull the stick, the tube should stick past the tab by about 3/4". If that checks out, then all you need to do is measure down 20-1/8 from the top of your cup and scribe a "MAX" mark on the smooth side of your dipstick...- GTS Dean

Ideally, you want to bed your discs with the pad you plan to use. I do not run race pads/rotors on the street unless it's just to the convenience store between track days.
