Is This A Door Sag/Hang Issue?

You should be able to feel sag when you open and close the door. There are issues with the door panel rubbing which makes it difficult to adjust the door accurately. To me it looks like sag. That area you don't normally brush when you get in and out.

Hagerty: 5 Cars Taking Losses to Start 2026

They are looking at average price of all Gen 2 Vipers which include the RT/10. AND it seems like more RT/10s than GTSs are showing up for sale. LOL wonder if author is looking to buy GTSs. (Note popular tactic in the Lionel Train collecting market. Collector whiching to acquire publishes...

Pulling your car out of storage? Jump starting? READ THIS FIRST.

I've got the orange, cold weather CTEK on my 96 GTS. Also have a 1 amp NOCO usually on my 74 Datsun pickup. I like the CTEK because it is a LED for each stem of the charging process. The NOCO is a black box. I don't like black boxes...

Need 1996 GTS AC Pressure Switch (on dryer) Connector

EDIT: SOLUTION: Gen 1 & 2 use the same part number switch 4708204. Gen 1 has a small sub-harness 4709101 that can be cannibalized for the connector. PROBLEM SOLVED. This might be unobtainium. Mitchell customer service failed to find. No leads on other vehicles connector has been used...

Want to ID this brake duct part that was vendor made

...wonder if IPSCO might know what they are? I bot them from someone fabricating them for Viper and it had to be a Gen 2 since all I've owned. I believe I had plans for these BEFORE I realized Wayne had put Porsche brake cooling deflectors on the lower control arms. (could they have bolted...

Best tire sizes for minimal wheel gap - Forgestar

I thought about Gen V on my Gen 2 GTS, but was concerned about raising CG of car - that's never a good idea regarding handling and turn in response? ....but should be better for drag racing? However, a little more ground clearance would always be welcome with the glass fascia which poses...

    Battery

If replacing the battery, you might want to seriously consider installing a battery cutoff switch since so many procedures start with: Disconnect Battery (thinking that is easy to do.) This is OT, but I have a GTS and had a Charger rent a car for 3 months. Imagine my bamboozlement: (The V...

    Negative battery cable disconnect

So many procedures say, "Disconnect battery." .... $#%&@#(*$ The last time I put a battery in mine was at an acquaintance's house in NV in the blazing sunlight with no shade. He was OCD about his tools and I had to ask every time I needed something (of course this was moot since I didn't...

    Oil Temps

I was driving in Death Valley @ 100*F on my cross country drive back to PA. My temp gauge was getting higher than I ever saw it and even though remember reading that it was capable of very high temps and not being a problem, I was not going to risk on a 2500 mile drive. So I was windows down...

    Oil Filter Recommendations

They talk about having a higher bypass pressure because of the high volume oil pump etc. OE oil is 10w30, any issue with the XXw40 oils which many have said is a superior oil to the 10w30? Theoretically it should produce a higher hot pressure than w30.

    Another Viper crash

I was 50 when I got my first Viper. By then, I had no interest in shenanigans since had my fill street racing factory Paxton supercharged Studebaker Super Lark for few years in 70s.

Want to ID this brake duct part that was vendor made

I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with HMS nose - I could have sworn these were at the discharge end. (I have NO IDEA what ducted brake cooling looks like on a Gen 2.)

Want to ID this brake duct part that was vendor made

Fog lights would be a candidate, however the fogs are mounted with 3 screws which is what you'd also use on your duct part. The single mounting tab looks like it would eventually fail from high cycle fatigue where the tab meets the gusset since it supports a massive cantilever. (The gusset...

Want to ID this brake duct part that was vendor made

Can't remember when I bot it but guessing 15-20 years ago. I believe it was supposed to be mounted as the discharge from brake ducting however, it could be mounted as the inlet but where? Doesn't seem to be any room on the knuckle AND can't find any bolts nearby that would make sense I think I...

I will be: I have a DRB with the full package: PEP module, million cables, OBDII breakout box, complete pressure transducer package, belt tensioning tool. I've got the Mitchell clamp-on current probe but not 100% sure I want to part with that since it is universal and works with any DMM...

Ground Clearance 2" Air Lift Kit - trying to find the preCovid $750 kit I posted about ...somewhere

I don't understand how that can be: when deactivated, the cups are a solid spacer. The coil overs are lowered the amount of that space so the ride height is unchanged. Nothing changes in the suspension geometry?

Ground Clearance 2" Air Lift Kit - trying to find the preCovid $750 kit I posted about ...somewhere

Regarding the install, the most difficult part is routing the wiring, fusing, dash control, pump, plumbing. Where to put, where to drill holes where to get your 12v supply. If you don't have coil-overs, then $$$. -

Ground Clearance 2" Air Lift Kit - trying to find the preCovid $750 kit I posted about ...somewhere

Yes. With the suspension hanging, Aldan 3.5" OD coil overs, the clearance between the spring OD and shaft is a 21/64 drill bit or .328 inches. This would accommodate a zero clearance cup diameter of 3.5 + 2(.328) = 4.156" = 108mm The cups are 110mm - so it's 2mm OS on the diameter, or 1mm on...

Ground Clearance 2" Air Lift Kit - trying to find the preCovid $750 kit I posted about ...somewhere

Yes, someone has to write this up. This mod will transform Viper ownership (or any car w/low ground clearance) The biggest hurdle may be getting coilovers with 3.5" OD springs. My Aldans are that size.
