Yeah, it replaces the stock shifter rod that threads into the B&M shifter. Easy to replace - tell the shop not to crank down on the stock shifter rod when re-installing so swapping it is easier. Swapping it out is super easy - just remove the center console pad & trim and thread it off, then...
Really depends on what exhaust you're running. I did ARH headers & deletes into stock catback and it sounded OEM+ (much quieter than Mopar/Borla 2 muffler with stock manifolds and deletes).
Cat relocation to rear of car.
Note. If moving cats to the back and venting the bumper. Leave some material in the middle opening to reinforce the lower part of the bumper. The heat from the cats in low speed-high temperature situations (sitting in traffic for prolonged periods) would cause the...
Vent the sill:
- Cut off the inner fender liner covering the front
- Not necessary, but helps with airflow out of car, remove riveted panel at rear of rocker panel
If you don't have cats, remove the outer heat shielding - I have done this on 2 cars for over 50k miles with zero paint issues...
I run these. Clear cutoff and much brighter than OE.

Make sure you install them correctly otherwise there is a wonky pattern.
Bushings on the cars are usually in rough shape given their age. However, most people do not replace them unless they are blow out or tracking the car.
$7k seems high (33 hours at $200/hour and $300 in bushings), but it is labor intensive and conductive to their hourly rate and book time...

Borla and Corsa are hands down the two most popular options and people will die on a hill fighting for which one sounds better. Borla is the original Mopar 2 muffler system, Corsa is a 4 muffler system. Both are 3" diameter.
Note* Borla has 2.5" inlet for stock cats, but can be...
Definitely do heads if you can, really transforms the power delivery. Skip a 708 or creampuff OE cam and go with something aftermarket - more power, better sound, etc. - as it's a PITA job for minor gains with OE parts.
I think cast is superior to forged if not running boost. Noticeably quicker revs and that is exacerbated when doing other lightened rotational mass items. 708 cam is more fun at idle.
The first batch of 2000's motors are known as oil burners. I had one for 4 years and a GT3 at the same time...
I don't know about GEN1, but GEN2 can be done with hood in place. However, simply removing the 4 bolts on the hood side of the hinge makes the job much easier (note, not a 1 man job).
Coilovers. BC is a great road option. GEN1 is 31+ years old, so the shocks and bushings are definitely outside their prime. BC replaces everything on the stock shock/spring assemblies and will make the car flat in turns/accel/braking and help kill wheel hop on launch. KW also has an option for...
Updated the thread.
Tires were removed from the wheels, so price has been adjusted accordingly. If someone wants tires with the wheels, they are available.
You can adjust with the cover off, but unnecessary.
That relay housing looks different than GEN2, but the same relay prongs. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about GEN1 can chime in.
These are what I bought for GEN2 - ebay.com/itm/365306488959
Coolant bottle is from 90's Ram, cheap and plentiful.
Pull bumper - takes a few minutes with a power ratchet, takes more minutes by hand, fill bottle with distilled water to top and install. It will puke out the extra water if it doesn't **** it back into the system while driving.
Depending...
