Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

Just for the sake of accuracy, those numbers are from one of Lingenfelter's engine dynos, not a chassis dyno. So it's 848hp less 12-15% drivetrain losses. Nonetheless, it is a badass build and the LPE guys really delivered an incredible motor package. :2tu:

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

My opinion isn't really an opinion, facts are facts. You have your opinion... So is it your opinion that Norm's car: 1) Didn't really run the numbers.. (at least a dozen mid 9's with many witnesses.. I even posted a video for you) 2) Is not really naturally aspirated / nitrous conspiracy...

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

Ward, You are a great competitor and have figured out my secret.. No hair = fast ! (ask Tony) You have tons of hair = slow ! I'd say having you in the other lane helped us hit that 9.48. Hell, I'm sorry we missed Bradenton this year, I think you could have hit the 8's with some competition...

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

If I remember correctly, Mark's car had 728rwhp.. Ran 9.9 @ 142-144mph.. Apples to Oranges.. Also, you seem to be making some assumptions about Norm's LPE car. The "standard" 542ci might be advertised at 725hp. Norm's car isn't standard.. The guys from LPE have engineered, tuned and delivered a...

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

1BADGTS, I think it's Joe, right? I recall meeting you at Englishtown with Evan Smith about 8 ago. You had a B/W GTS and would only run on street tires. Nase was at the track running slicks. Anyway, I ran Mark Heidaker's 1996 RT/10 to a 9.9ET back in 1999 with TNT heads cam + a healthy shot of...

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

One last note.. Just to be clear.. You referenced a DLM, HMS and the now defunct TNT as your guidelines to 1/4 potential? Since when have these been the benchmarks for what can be accomplished on the dragstrip? AND street tires on 9 second cars? Why? I've personally driven at least 10...

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

:dunno: Street tires? Not sure where you got that? We like to go fast and don't run the car on pilots. I'm not claiming to have run anything other than what I can prove which is 9.48 at 145+ mph on slicks. Hell, I can bog the car, hit the rev-limiter and still hit 9's. We've done it many...

Dynoed my Viper today 612 RWHP 619 RWTQ! 91 pump gas!

I can't speak for the owner, but I'd be happy to wager on the numbers.. I personally drove the car to a best time of 9.48@145mph (high mph of 148.xx). NO Nitrous.. NEVER had it.. ALL MOTOR.. On slicks.. T-56 6-speed.. IRS.. etc.. etc.. Regarding LPE, Ryan is the newest sales guy and quoted the...

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

I guess that's one possibility... Here's another... Hmmmmm... Appears to be from Milan dragstrip in Fall 2001 - just like "yours". :nono: Do they print special timeslips for Ex-executives? :bonker: I'd love to see another All Motor contender. I just think you might wanna try speaking of...

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

One is real.. One is fantasy... Can you guess which is which.. I don't care IF the car exists. (if it does) I don't care what the car SHOULD run. But I'm surprised you would pass this garbage as fact and continue to support the lie. So, should we conclude that when John Lingenfelter drove...

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

;) I know a "streetable" Viper, N/A, big motor etc. can run mid nines... At 3400lbs.. But I also KNOW for a fact it took A LOT of work to get it done. A Lot more than backpedaling and spouting off about some OE manufacturer's resources. To claim 791rwhp (never been done before), 2590lbs...

Dyno hp max in 4th or 5th gear?

When you take your car to the dyno, the dyno operator (read: NOT you) will dyno the car in 4th gear. It's a big drum that you are accelerating to measure horsepower - nothing more. The dyno WILL NOT hurt your engine. Overrevving or running a bad tune WILL hurt your engine, whether you're on the...

Help with parts; cross between Auto & Rehab

I think the small lightweight shocks on a suspension bicycle might be just what you're looking for. I imagine that you could change the internal "discs" in the small "coil over" to soften the dampening for a child. Another choice, the "Air Spring Shock" uses high pressure and that pressure...

    N/A Viper Power

Package cars "as advertised" by tuners mean nothing. Promising what you "think" you can build for advertising purposes is often complete BS when it comes time to complete the car. RSI has only built ONE serious N/A viper and that was a Gen II. It was a 510ci high compression stroker motor and...

    Getting into the 10's

Re: Getting into the 10\'s Russ, I respect your opinion but it is just that, an opinion. Opinions on how fast a car "should" or "could" be often fail to account for less obvious limiting factors involving suspension, transmission, weight etc.. Applying corrections and speculation is guesswork...

    Getting into the 10's

Re: Getting into the 10\'s I don't know what you think "should" happen but I'll tell you what will happen. 500rw + Drag Radials = mid to low 11's Stock Viper + Slicks = mid 11's I ran an 11.8 on stock tires BUT that is HOOKING UP on a sticky track. If you are already getting traction, the...

    Getting into the 10's

Re: Getting into the 10\'s 519rwhp/510rwtq - ran a 10.91 ET w/ 1.47 60 foot. Full weight 1996 RT/10 with heads/cam & ET Streets. I'd say somewhere around 550-600rw would get you where you want to be but you WILL need slicks, a good track, good launch and good shifts. Hope this helps, Scott W

Re: VIDEO - Norm\'s LPE Viper / ALL MOTOR - First 9 Sec Pass Thanks for the comments guys. LPE really did an amazing job on this car and I'm glad to have had a chance to drive it. The full video above is 16MB so I've shortened and made a low-res version for anyone with a slower connection...

FIRST 9 SECOND ALL MOTOR PASS

-Specs- Cubic Inches: Alot Compression: Enough Cam: Nasty HP: >600rw TQ: Gobs It's a 542ci LPE tuned V-10 with stock heads and stock intake. It makes explosive power and still idles, cruises and runs cool and clean. Those guys from Indiana can really build a motor.

VIDS AND PICS OF MY MAMBA ON THE DYNO

I think it looks great. The polished intake is very nice! Now, fight the urge to add every chrome and polished MGW piece available and keep the car looking nice and purposeful. With the red valve covers, your engine bay is polished but not poser. Enjoy the car and post some dyno numbers with the...

    Rev Limitations

I can offer some insight into the limitations that might explain the lack of information. Unlike the LS1-LS6-ZR1, I have never seen a viper motor continue to make power over 6000rpm. This includes strokers, forced induction and N20. I've seen ported heads, ported GTSr heads, big valves, extruded...
