    Supercar Yes, we communicate here publicly, or privately with PM. During the season, we know we will see each other every 4 weeks, so we wait and do most of out bench racing and kill stories in person. But, we do get a good one going one here occasioanly.

    The operator said it failed because of Catalyst - not ready, Evap - not ready, and O2 Sens Htr - not ready. This is the first time it has failed, but has the same mods as all previous OBD-II inpections, which it passed. Any ideas? Could it be the rear O2 sensors need replacing, or do I need rear...

    Re: Got \'er a little sideways today How long is a set of these tires good for before they start to lose their performance? 8 - 10 heat cycles, depending on your lap times. How long does it typically take for these monsters to get warm. 1 lap at approx. 75% I have no idea on the street!

    Viper torque rating specs

    All 3 should be in any good mechanics tool box. Also, a 100 - 250 ft.lbs would be my suggestion. And, we never use a torque wrench within 20% of either limit.

    That could be the sister car to the ex Oreca Viper Michael Greenburg drives at each Viper Days event. With their clutch arrangement and road race slick, I can understand the difficult launch. Did you notice the uphill drag strip!

    Bonkers, great story. Glad to see someone with the balls to bring this girl back to life. You did great at VIR in her, hope to see you there next year. You will only be faster. By the way, in car footeage shows we are in 5th gear approx. 6 seconds. I'll show you how next year.

    Date code on new tires what should they be?

    4403 = 44th week of 2003. Fine if you are cruising on the street. Don't know how strongly you feel about them all having the same date. Only really matters of you keep them 5+ years, for street driving. Would be O.K. for a couple of track sessions, but toast after it dries up. Just my .02
