    1992 RT/10 engine rebuild

    Speedracervr4 - They had known problems with both. One is definitely easier to fix than the other. And to Shelbyviper's point, many times with the ring issue, the resolution was a new engine. I'm looking at a couple of 1992' and 1993's. Any thoughts on what it might cost to have this done...

    Should ALL 1992's have had their engine rebuilt for the leaking ring issue? (IE, were they all "defective"?) How far into 1993 was the issue prevalent? Anyone know approximate cost to have rebuilt at this point, if it hasn't been done yet? Also, is the side sill and side pipe cover 1 or two...

    Looking to purchase a second viper... Is it even possible to see/read a VIN tag on the engine block, while it's in the car? If so, any suggestions for doing this? Thanks, Tim

    97 gts hood won't stay up

    Try Simple Green.... usually does a good job of degreasing things and typically won't hurt paint... Avoid brake cleaner or anything similar, as that will hurt paint for sure.

    Why is the viper so much better looking in person?

    I think when you see Italian exotics in person, they are all kind of "small" cars, so maybe not as "bigger than life" in person? When you see a GTS, its proportions and lines are just unlike anything else you see on the road. Almost like seeing the batmobile in person... almost freakishly...

    I've never been up for the Nationals. Work schedule didn't allow me to come up for the whole weekend, but might be able to make it up on Sunday, assuming it's worth the trip up for one day? Not sure what the schedule is for the event weekend. Everything happen on Saturday? or plenty to see...

    Salvage title doesn't keep you from driving the car on the street again, does it? Just decreases the "collector" value, correct? If I wanted to buy it as a track car, that I want to "drive" to the track, I could get plates on it, no?
