    Differential Fluid Replacement

Is there a siphon pump you recommend? I bought two to do this job and ended up trashing both of them last year. They did not have enough suction power to pull any fluid out. I ended up taking a clear length of hose and sucking on the end of it and let gravity do the rest. I need to change my...

Viper Dealers in the MD/DC/VA area?

Reed Brothers Dodge off Montrose always has Vipers in house. I have read some reviews that said their service is good.

Became a viper owner today, few questions.

Congrats. 1 - Possibly a nagging exhaust leak that was remedied with welding rather than trying another clamp. Have you verified stock components in place? If aftermarket, many will weld rather than use clamps to avoid leaks. 2 - RE Two new wheels and four new tires. Could have been curb...

I thought I had a blown speaker, but.....

The wiring harness in the door probably pulled the wire. The 'click click' noise is probably the wire mometarily making a connection. I would pull all the electrical tape off and go through the connections. You will probably see a few other wires that are starting to pull apart as well.

Grr... had some brake problems, now I need a part.

A little unclear what you have done, but it sounds like you are replacing the defective pad with one that does not have an attached shim?If so, I think the shim serves mainly to stop brake squeal. If you want an interim solution until your new pads get sent back, just throw a little anti squeal...

    Rear end oil change

I just changed mine and can tell you the fluid is THICK. If possible, try to warm it up a bit with a short jaunt arount town before trying to extract. It will make things a lot easier.

    Difference between '00 & '02 GTS

Were model year 2000 vehicles not subject to the steering rack and pinion recall that required the gussets to be welded to the frame? I could be mistaken. Not a real difference I suppose, but I would certainly inspect for proper work to have been completed with some degree of competence if...

    Motor Mount install help!

OK, thanks. Was not sure if the cracks were developing as a result of age or mileage, or perhaps a combination of the two. This is something I have thought about looking into during the down months.

    Stupid question on bleeding clutch

The diaphragm is supposed to act as a barrier to moisture from the air. Remove the diaphragm and per the Wizard's instructions, suction out the fluid, refill, pump clutch 20 or so times, suction out once more, and refill and reinstall diaphragm.

Looks like my exhaust is messing up my paint

Another solution is to try using a clay bar as it will lift most bonded contaminates out of the clear coat.

    Radiator drainage ?

One suggestion that I might offer up is to empty the radiator by pulling the lower radiator hose out instead of using the plug. I was advised that the plug is easily stripped and an easy way of avoiding that risk is by simply pulling the hose. A more messy solution, but less chance of damage.

The VCA and SRT are very proud to present...

I think one of the most impressive statistics I have read about this vehicle is that it stops from 60mph down to zero in under 100 feet. That is absolutely organ jarring!

    :(

I just purchased fluids from the local stealership yesterday so the number is fresh in my mind. For the transmission fluid (4 @ $22.50/quart), differential (2 @ $27.50/quart), limited slip additive (1 @ $8.50/4 oz). If you are not mechanically inclined, you should be able to find any competent...

If the remainder of the fluids have not been serviced, now may be a good time to exchange those as well. Trans, diff, power steering, clutch, brake, and antifreeze

    Storing the Viper for winter

The theory behind lining a garage floor with plastic is to keep moisture from rising to the undercarriage of the vehicle. I have never seen any appreciable amounts of moisture on my garage floor so I don't use it.
