I have the MGW gas cover. I just used one from the store and used sand paper to sand down the lock and edges so the stock gas cover would fit when I had the stock gas cover. Kinda tedious, but once you have one it's good for life.
If I was you, I'd save up to get what you're TRULY happy with, and not just settling. I know that's what I did with my B/W and never regretted it.

I'm wondering if the PCM would be fried because I had to jump a few times because of the battery being burnt out. I wasn't aware it was such a bad thing on this car. I'll report back today or tomorrow.
How do I reset the stock alarm? Just lock then unlock with the original keyfob?
The aftermarket alarm has been a pain and I thought it may be the source of my battery woes, so recently I have been using the original keyfob to lock the doors when I take it places.
