Yeah, I had the exhaust pointing at the camera trying to blow it over. The car really sounded great while at high rpm during my track days... sounded very mean and I got a lot of compliments.
That's a good question. I didn't get a chance to weigh the wheels but I'd also like to know the answer to that question. I'll weigh them and the stock wheels in a few days.
You should schedule a trip to AZ or SoCal this time of year so you can still enjoy nice weather.
I'm trying to find a good mount for my camcorder so I'll have some video from the track.
Yes, Mark J. & his techs were awesome in putting this together. I did the entire deal from overseas and they even sent me pics of the car while it was getting the mods installed. Bill P. made the deal painfree even though I was 10,000 miles away. I defintely had a great buying experience with...
In terms of acceleration it's hard to tell because I'm still breaking the ACR in. I took the ACR for a drive on a mountain road that I used to frequent in the ZR1. As far as handling is concerned I like the ACR MUCH better. For a driver of my experience level I found the ACR to be much more...
I'd like to thank both Mark J. and Bill P. for assisting me with my ACR purchase and the mods. For those that don't know, I traded in my 2010 ZR1 for a 2010 Vooodoo ACR and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
Mods include:
ACR-X headers
Corsa hi-flow cats
Mopar PCM
3.55...
Of course it will be expensive, but I don't think it would be so much that VCA couldn't raise the funds. The biggest problem is that we could get an ACR over there but for the time we have the track rented it ends up being soaking wet. Not to mention there is always the risk of a crash...
There's no video of the GT2 RS running a 7:18 because it never actually ran a 7:18 lap. Porsche ran the GT2 RS around the ring in sections then later compiled the times and claimed a 7:18 lap.
Not saying the GT2 RS isn't capable of running a 7:18 lap, but each manufacturer is sort of "doing...
I haven't seen any Viper guys disrespect or challenge Lou. They are just asking him to support his claim that the ZR1 is a faster/better track car.
VVVVV------ :doh3:
The ACR vs ZR1 thread over on the Corvetteforum has grown to 10 pages and there's no end in sight. :lmao:
Better track day car: Viper ACR or ZR1 - Page 9 - Corvette Forum
Exactly! That's why I'm not getting very worked up over what the Gen V does or doesn't look like. It will be a long time before the car goes into production and I do not like to buy first model year cars because of all the bugs. So even if I do decide to get a Gen V, I may be looking at 3-4...
Thanks for the info. Where can I get the install kit? I didn't see the SRT-10 listed on Crutchfield's site so I didn't know if they had instructions for it. I guess it doesn't hurt to give them a call.
I'm thinking about getting the Kenwood - KVT-696 & KNA-G610 installed in my ACR. How difficult in the installation? I'm thinking of just paying an audio shop to do if a hardness has to be made.
