Find a 12 point socket that fits tight and hammer it onto the lug. Then get a new set.
Or, I think they can find you a key if you send them a picture of the lug.
Anyone been up to Cecil on Wednesday? Wondering how crowded and what the track prep is like. I'm a little hesitant to run the car now that the weather has cooled off. On the street I have zero confidence towards nailing it in these temperatures. Over the summer I could get away with pretty...
I'm headed to LMS this weekend to do the SRT Track Experience, and I'm wondering how it all works. Do I drive my Viper, or just their cars?
Also, if I do drive my car should I be worried about scratching it up when I'm taking out cones (if that should happen), and should I tape the car up...
Just got off the phone with MD international raceway and they told me I could not run my 2008 convertible down the track faster than 13.49 w/o a roll cage. Are they seriously enforcing this?
Does IHRA not have an equivalent to the NHRA "pure stock" rule?
Cool. Thanks.
Just sort of wondering if I should make a special effort to keep wax off of those areas. Had trouble in the past with getting wax on trim pieces and having them look cloudy.
Intriguing title isn't it??
So there are some parts on this car that are satin black, specifically the area around the exhaust outlet and the part around the opening in the back just above the fins. Should I wax these parts?
Thanks in advance!
Just got back from the Walmart "Super Center". It was pretty super I must say...
Any way, they had the 0w40 in qt bottles for $6.27. Did not see the 5 gallon jugs, or a place for them to be. Checked pretty carefully.
I'll need it in a few weeks. Good idea with asking them to order it. Has anyone bought off the shelf at costco or walmart recently? Maybe if I can find a "super walmart" they may have it?
Does anyone have advice on where to get Mobil 1 0w40 for cheap? My walmart does not have it, and I checked online with no luck. Advance Auto wants almost $8 per quart.
Thanks!
I think mine (also a new 08) is doing that too. Started at maybe 100 miles. Sounds like a playing card in the spokes of the wheel of a kids bike (anyone remember that?) It varies with engine speed.
I was surprised to see that the dual painted stripes on the 2008 are not buried in under the clear coat. With the hard edge they really look like they are taped on.
Anyone buy wheel locks for their 08? Looks like McGaurd has two options:
Cone Seat Lock 24138
Cone Seat Tuner Lock; Key Hex 13/16" 25230
Anyone use either of these?
Thanks!
Got some pictures from the dealer. Looks like the wheel finish is scratched a bit, but hard to tell from pictures. This is the type of thing that worries me about buying w/o seeing it in person, but I have not seen a better deal recently.
Thanks for the info. Do you think the wheel in the attached photo (assuming that worked) will buff up? I know it's hard to tell from a photo.
Thanks again!
