    I respectfully disagree. Did you look at the pictures? He did not hit the tree at 40 mph, he hit it with the passenger side of the car and wrapped the frame around the tree. This can only be done at a high rate of speed. For the driver to also die, he had to be traveling at a high rate of speed.

    Viper days won't replace common sense. Stupid is as stupid does. This guy was as dumb as the California State highway patrol officer that killed his family in the Toyota with the stuck gas pedal, he had time to call 911, but did not know how to turn his car off or put in nuetral.:rolleyes:

    Duane, not trying to steer you away from the California car, but make sure there was no damage to the car as I can tell the front facia stripes were repainted incorrectly. They painted the stripes all the way down through the front air dam, and the stripes are supposed to stop before the dam...

    What oil?

    I am betting the 'lifter' noise you are hearing is the fuel injectors firing and not the lifters. These cars are known for the ticking noise coming from the injectors. I wouldn't worry about it, and changing the oil type will not make this noise go away.

    2000 Viper GTS ACR Buying Nightmare (Be Warned)

    It looks to me like the whole car was painted a different color, as they never offered 'steel blue' from the factory. The color is way darker than my 2000 steel gray color. Hope you get your money back.

    You may want to look at year 2000 steel gray. Its a little lighter than graphite and 'pops' more in the sun.
