She is referring to the date manufactured. Very important as the VINs are not consecutive, a higher number could have been built BEFORE a lower number. You must go by the date.
it's MonthDayHour and it's on the sticker on the drivers door. My guess is that your car was pretty early and won't be an issue. You can always check with your delaer to see if the VIN is showing any outstanding recalls - but even that's not 100% accurate with this cam bolt debacle.
