Hi Steve,
I have a 93 R/T 10 that has been in the family for years but only recently my dad decided to sell to me. Currently the car starts for a few seconds and then the alarm shuts it down. We have been struggling with issues with the car alarm for years when the battery dies and I don't want to tow this thing to a dealership again. I really want to "retire" this alarm so I don't have to live in fear of being stranded if the battery drains.
Can I call you for help?

Good day to everyone. I am new to the viper club only because I had to work on one for a customer 800 miles away from me. I am in Mi working on a off road vehicle an bossman comes over explains his issue with his viper. I was like sure I can probably look at it. So I got on this board an search and low an behold. The was Steve-Indy. Sent him an email 11pm last nite in hopes I wouldn't wake him. But wanted to be 1st on his list today. 6:15 am I awake and my prayers had been answered there was a email from Steve-Indy.. (#newbestfriend). Just like email said 9:15 call from Steve.. whats it doing .... how long.... what did I do... what was done? Well battery went dead, couldn't get into car, got new battery,fob battery bad ,got new fob batteries.. Steve said can you got to car yes sir.. get these tools...yes sir. Call me when you are at car. Yeah sir. On way. Got to car at 11 made sure it was in charger it was for a while .. thankfully. Called Steve. Do this and nothing else do this an only this yes sir... dont loose the little gren cap for the ground stud.. lol. Ok so at 11:15 car was running driving. And doing what it should. So Steve-Indy THANK YOU so very much it was my pleasure talking to you, it was great being able to get this viper running like it should.
I think you said I was 109 up and running. AWESOME. THE OWNER IS SUPER GREATFULL. YOU HAVE MY NUMBER call any time.

As we discussed, much of the support for these cars now comes from the few original technicians and owner to owner info sharing. "It takes a village..."
