Hey guys, Iv had my viper for a couple months now but have noticed recently when I hit a bump in the road a clunking noise comes from the rear passenger fender/tire area. Not sure would this could be. I have a 08 ssg viper with about 5000 miles on it anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

There are a lot of possibilities for this symptom, but what the heck, I'll give it a go... Loose upper or lower shock mounting bolt, loose sway bar end link, bad shock (check for leaking oil, these OEM shocks commonly blow seals), other loose hardware including not only the suspension but the inner fender liners. Sometimes the ball joints have never been properly lubed... there is an upper and lower ball joint with a grease fitting on each (use NLGI rated "LB" grease).

I had a similar problem. Turns out the shock mount at the top was totally unscrewed. When I removed the shock the top came off in my hands. This can happen if the nut that holds it in place is not tight.
If you see threads exposed at the top of the shock you will know.
