Also, although he hit the buy it now, he actually paid less for the package. His plan is to beat 1TONY1's 1/4 mile record for a ROE blower car. Best deal I ever saw on Ebay and I turned him on to it. I think he should give me the HRE's as a token of his appreciation.

I'm excited about this purchase. Alot of extra's come with this car. I was looking for a driver not a garage queen. I already have one of those I spoke with the owner at length on two different occassions today and decided to pull the trigger. That car has 20-30k extra's on it. I did not pay the buy it now price. I ended it after the deal was made so no one else could bid the buy it now price and have someone getting upset that the car was already sold. I can fix the sidesills and scrapes under the front fascia it won't take much to make this car cherry again. It has never been wrecked according to carfax and the owner and the title is clean and clear. He has a video of him running a 10.6 at the track. So anyway I'll have another project soon. B

All I can say is this seller left a lot of money on the table. What was the seller thinking when he lists his car as the following:
1996 Dodge : Viper Gts
60k plus miles
For the hundreds of us that saw his auction heading we saw he had a high mi 96 GTS and simply moved on to the next viper heading. Did he forget to mention that he had $20-30k in extras including a supercharger in the heading? How about another buck and he could have included this info in a subheading. But no, he had a plain jane heading, no details of the superb car he had and many, many just looked at his heading for a minisecond and went on the next. It was only when you read the details did you see that this was a diamond in the rough. Great example on how not to market your car. That was a tremendous buy due to poor marketing. Another few words in the heading or subheading could have brought another $10k easy. Another example of a killer deal that can be found on ebay if you are patient. Congrats!!!!

Thanks Gerald. Your post is what Shelby3 and I was thinking. It's not until you read the whole thing until you realize how good of a deal it really is. I can't believe it comes with an extra motor. If I put the car back stock and sold most all of the extras, it's possible to have a GTS for 16-20k Yes the car has high miles but the motor in it only has about 10,400. With the stock motor being out of the car now would be a good time to give it a good freshening up.

I thought this at first until speaking with the owner. He's a member here has had previous vipers including a FE. He also has a mopar collection including cudas, chargers, etc.... Very nice gentleman as well. He anwsered all questions and didn't try to hide anything. I know the car is not perfect but at the price I'm paying and with all the extras that come with it I couldn't pass it up. I've never seen a deal quiet like this on ebay or anywhere else. The owner just didn't want to fool with parting everything out. When was the last time someone bought a 96 B/W viper with blower and built motor and oh by the way it comes with an extra motor, differential, slicks, rockers, etc...lol.

Btw, my wife still thinks its to good to be true. We'll see in the next couple of weeks when Gary Almond delivers it.

The car has Elite heads on it and with a conservative tune is almost at 700 RWHP. Anyone know who did the Elite heads?

Update, spoke with Gary Almond today. He had a cancellation and will be able to move me up a week. So the car will probably be picked up this Sat. or Sunday. Can't wait. I also recieved the title today. Big thanks to ND ViperGTSR here on the forum. It was a pleasure dealing with you.
