I just had Unitrax install a 3.55 gear set. The diff had a set of 3.33's already installed. Devon at Unitrax said they were in perfect condition. He also indicated that they were unusual because they were an actual Dana Super 44, not a substitute. The Dana product was dual treated, which means they had a special heat treat, then, were micro polished. The ring gear is also tapped for the larger (7/16) bolt set.
