I just got the 3.55 rear end for my Viper, and I love it. I knocked a tenth off my 60 ft times two weekends ago (street tires) and also a tenth off my 0-60 time (measured by G-Tech). I'm hoping with some more practice these times will improve. Also, with slicks there should be even better results. We shall see as soon as I get a roll cage installed, since I was already well into the 11's on slicks previously.

Contact Unitrax in Anaheim. I believe they charge around $700 for the 3.55 gears, but I don't remember for sure. Their number is 800-622-4327. Talk to Jerry, the owner.

I called last week and Unitrax quoted me 405.00 for the 3:45 which is what I will go with. The 3:55's are great also. I just decided on those gears so not to comprimize too much top end. As far as price, I took my gen 1 to a shop here in Texas and they also work on other vipers and they charged me 300.00 to put them in and have been fine for the last two years.

Keep in mind that 2001 went to larger 7/16" diameter ring gear retaining bolts. (Pre 2001 have smaller 3/8").

Unitrax has gear sets for the larger bolts in the 2001's now.
