Well last week I finally got my 95 RT/10 over to Larry at Macedo MotorSports for a base line dyno. Larry checked the car out and then ran three dyno runs with cool down periods between. Each run got stronger which was nice to see. The only mods I have are smooth intake tubes, K&N filters, Belanger cat backs. and 3.73 gear. Stock headers and catalytic converters still in place.
Then run results were as follows:
01. 368.63 hp and 431.04 ft/lbs torque
02. 374.51 hp and 443.52 ft/lbs torque
03. 376.29 hp and 445.02 ft/lbs torque
I was please with the results but would like to know how this compares with comparably equipped Gen I RT/10's. :2tu:
After discussing mods with Larry I think I will be adding only Belanger headers and removing the cats. If too loud I will be installing hi-flo cats. :headbang:
Both Larry and Scott at MMS treated the viper and me great and it's nice to have a shop like this in my backyard! Thanks again Larry.

I had my old 96 RT/10 dynoed at Larrys at 394HP and 468 TQ. I had Borla headers with no cats, TNT cat back and 3.73's in the rear.

That is about exactly what I was getting on my 95 last year with Smooth Tubes / K&N's and Borla Cat Back. At that time mine did 376 RWHP and 449 RWTQ.

Just dynoed this past friday with Fully Done Heads, Crower Cam, Long tube headers, no Cats, totally rebuilt Motor and made 459 RWHP / 530 RWTQ. Still need to do 1.7 Ratio Roller Rockers to finish her off and get closer to the 500 RWHP mark.
With Nitrous it made 628 RWHP and 833 RWTQ.

Looks like I'm close to what some of you had and short of others. I sure like Bill's numbers with limited mods. I'm hoping the addition of headers will get me close to the 400 rwhp mark. Ed, the additional mods that put you up to the 450 mark is what I really had in mind, but I think I'll stick with only the headers and cat removal for this beast and go for the higher hp if I ever graduate to a GEN II or III. If I do, I'll keep this 95 anyway because I love it.
Thanks for all the feed back.

If your looking for a set of B&B's or a set of Mopar rockers, PM me. I've got both for sale in the classifieds. :2tu:

I have Roe filters--- smooth tubes, Roe cat back.

roeracing.com

I did change plugs and wires right before the pulls.

You will find at least 10 hp, if your wires and plugs are more then a year old.

Ask Jon B about it!!!!!

I'll be changing the plugs and wires this weekend which needs to be done anyway. Anybody know how much the 1.7 rockers would add?
Thanks for all the feedback. I see I still have some work to do.

I have heard the Gen I's pick up more TQ than the Gen II's. What kind are you going with? Typical pick up is anywhere from 15-25 HP/20-30 TQ.

It's actually 407-502.

That's with headers, hi-flo cats, mufflers.
I've raced other Vipers in the 450's rwhp and pulled them.
The difference I've noticed in mine and other Vipers graphs is my peak hp isn't the highest but the midrange has been as high as 50 rwhp more.
