Almost certainly the eleven-umpteenth case of what I now call "Battery fatigue"........Batteries in Vipers (IN MY OPINION) should be changed routinely every 2 years ! It is not worth the grief to extend the battery use. (I do not sell street batteries...lighweight racing only!)

Not enough Amp-Hour capacity left in your battery. A DRB could have told you 'why' the first time, except you erased the codes when you disconnected it. {I would have, too!)

Buy a new battery! See if the new center-post gel Excide is available.....or modify your battery tray (be careful, it has a temperature sensor!) to accept a slightly-too-tall Optima.

Or consider a very lightweigt Oddessey racing battery

If you have a yellow Optima,it is what's is called a deep cycle battery.
That's mean they have a little less CCA but they can be COMPLETLY discharged many times without any damage.]
I will be very surprised to have an Optima go bad after only 2 years.

JonB,why in your opinion a Viper need a new battery every 2 years?

Heat?
Vibrations?
To insure a steady income to Viper's dealers? (just kidding)

Luc.
