Hi to all Viper owners all over the world.

My name is Kurt and I live in the wonderful, but sometimes cold country of Norway(do not mistake for the North Pole). I have been a Viper fan since this great classic model was first created, and have actually been a great fan of Carroll Shelby since his early days of creating the finest muscle cars in racing history..my personal opinion.

I bought myself a 97GTS blue/white and exported it over here and did some modifications on..see pictures from link below.

A couple of years ago I got into an insuranceproblem with this auto, and I was stuck dealing with an insurancecompany that had NO expertise in how to deal with these cars, since we only have 5 in the country.
I ended up with hiring one of the biggest lawfirms here to handle the case for me. The insurancecompany actually started to get people, that had NO clue what a Viper was and probably never seen one, to be involved with this case, and a lot of misreprentation and fabrication of facts started to surface. I look at myself as a pretty knowledgable person on musclecars, since I have owned over fifty different american classics during the last 27 years..as you can tell, these cars are a passion to me.

I finally found myself stuck in a case with so many misrepresented facts, that I turned to JonB. owner of PartsRack for help. I have bought parts from PartsRack earlier, and knew this was a company I could depend on regarding Viper expertise. I do not want to ofend any other companies or private individuals, and believe most Companies and individuals that deal with Viper acessories and parts are reliable, but Jon I have met personally, and knew of his expertise so I turned to him for help.

With the help of Jon, during a 6months periode of letters with actual facts and detailed year-specific, affidavids faxed and willingness to attend in an upcoming courtcase here in Norway, the insurancecompany finally, after over 2 loooong years with struggle and BS, backed down and we were able to settle without having to spend 3 days in court.

I therefor want to thank JonB. at PartsRack in front of all other Viper enthusiasts all across the globe, and let everybody know that not only are PartsRack just a vendor, but also an 'advocate' for Viper owners everywhere.

Than'x Jon, than'x to the Viper comunity that I know would have suported me in the last 2 years of struggle, that many people would have walked away from emptyhanded. Than'x to Dan Vargus for ceeping my enthusiasm for Vipers alive and Tacoma Dodge for great service on my GTS and ACR.

My homepage for everybody that want to see some pics from Europe, my Viper going down the Autobahn at almost 290km/h, over 180m/ph, and the last few pages has some of my other cars.

Cool site, hot babe. I especially like the way she keeps reappearing on your site.

Glad to hear you got things worked out with your insurance co. They definitely don't like losing in court. Sounds like you did the right thing. Put together a good case and they just settled. Too bad you had to do all that.

BTW, yes, Jon B. is a great guy. The Viper community is better off for all his efforts and passion towards the Viper.

Kurt - nice ride. Do me a favor... drive it down to Moss & Fredrikstad (Fredrikstad especially!). I have friends there that when the looked at my car in here in the states the told me that no Norwegian would have such a car. Fitting that it is the same color as mine!

Congratulations on the great car and a great country to drive it in! (Don't know where you'd park it in Oslo though... maybe the basement of the Royal Christiana?)
