I finally joined the VCA. I know that it should not have taken me this long but at least now I am part of the group.

a positive note is, the money you saved on not paying the membership fees can now go to the tickets of the next VCA car raffle

You should be able to get your member number from JRT by calling them-
1-800-998-1110. Give them a bit if you just joined today. Detroit time remember.
Once you are in their system JRT can give you the member number so you can forward it to the mods in a PM here and get you going with an upgraded status for this site.
The membership stuff and badges will take a while.
