should i use a front mount intercooler or stick with my water to air

I would suggest to stick with the air to liquid unit. The air/air is more restrictive for your application. You would need to increase the boost in order to compensate for the restrictive loss from the air/air unit. Consequently, you will incur belt slip and more load on the crank and damper to overcome the belt slip.

Also the thicker air/air core complicates engine heating (or rather engine cooling) by blocking the incoming fresh air.

Try to stay with what works best for your application.

I hope this was informative for you.

Regards,
Doug
