Hi Dominick, Maybe this will help? First off is your battery good and fully charged? If it's OK-- Using a voltage meter at the battery-check the voltage before starting[it should be around 12 volts]. Start engine and raise the engine speed to 1500 RPM with all electrical loads OFF[example-radio,blower motor and lights]. Check the voltage at the battery- The voltage should be between 13.5 and 15 volts. Also check with a full load[every thing on-lights,blower on high/a/c and radio] the voltage should read the same[13.5 to 15]. If not in range[above or below] the Alternator is no good[replace].
YOUR voltage Regulator is built into the Alternator on your 95/RT, not in the Computer!!!!
YES your dealer is right on one thing the Alternators are on Back Order as of 6-9-01[Part# 4642031 MSRP $359].
PS: "Bob Koller Dodge co" , Naperville,IL has three in stock[630-961-5171 or 630-355-3411] That,s all I could find for you.
GOOD LUCK
