And now for something REALLY different - 2007 VCA Guest Event

How about something really different this year?
How about starting the "First Annual Dodge Corporation Guest Speaker"
How about the VCA inviting, once a year, the TOP Dodge Viper Executive to sign on and spend a little time with their most diehard community of Viperholics.

Just a thought now....

Something like this:

1. VCA Administration reviews their list of potential guests and selects one. They either make the decision themselves or, at their dscreation, they ask for input/approval/recommendations from the VCA community. When selection process is complete, VCA administration approaches that person and secure their interest in coming on to the threads for one special night of direct interaction with this audience. This would be a disciplined, respectful, appropraite, informative evening.

2. VCA administration starts a thread THREE WEEKS before the actual night and askes for VCA members to submit their questions. Everyone submits their best questions PRIOR to any actual event. This gives VCA administration time to review the questions and interact with their own community. It also gives the guest time to review and prepare and work with VCA administration to put on the best possible event. In fact, the guest could come forward and, prior to the event, ask if the audience would like to focus on (examples here only!) the future of the Competition Coupe or perhaps, fuel management developments, etc. etc.

3. THREE WEEKS prior to the event, every interested VCA member submits a request to participate and REGISTERS. Only REGISTERED VCA members, cleared by VCA administration can submit during the live "interview", all else can watch and read to their hearts delight.

4. Strict rules of edicate, prepared by VCA administration, are part of the member registration. Essentially, follow the rules or be dismissed from the Guest Thread. Serious business this, zero tolerance.

What would be gained.

1. Great insight into the world of DC.
2. Great insight into the world of VCA members.
3. Great insight into the world of Vipers.
4. Exclusive content and a really important resource for VCA members.

VCA becomes the shinning beacon of enlightenment for the whole automotive world as the pre-eminent provider of Viper related material doing something that car magazins just cannot do.

Just a thought...I'll go back to sleep now.

Didn't they have a program like that called "Ask Dr.Z?"

In all seriousness I don't see the fun in asking anyone
in DCX anything if it's going to be scrutinized to that
degree. Sounds like the perfect opportunity for the high
ups to pander there wares to the members with no real
threat for us to critize their products. I'd like to know
why the base-level challenger isn't going to come with a
manual? What was the logic with going to VVT on the
Gen3.5? And how many different special editions are going
to be offered for the new model?

I get the impression DCX is only interested in questions
that can be answered from the press releases. Since I can
read the press releases I seen no need to speak with them
at all.

Now if you want something truely new and exciting, how
about the VCA renting VIR for a day so we all can settle
this 'yellow is slower' thing once and for all.

Yep, so do I....I was more curious to see if there were any real questions/concerns about DC right now and if there was a desire to interact with them. The 2008 thread was an important one, I believe we are watching DC start the long process of fading away and I was more curious to see if others felt the same. The guys/gals on this thread really love their cars and the compoany that built them and perhaps that should translate into more direct contact. I would agree with you on all accounts, besides...we don't need them to answer the qeustion "do you drive you Viper in the rain?" That one, we can handle ourselves. Thanks for taking the time.
