another sub-woofer question...

stock sub blew so I purchased a Kicker CVT65 6.5" 1-OHM for my 02 RT/10, "everything else is stock at this point" hooked it up and sounds great only problem is when I raise volume level to 21-22 all the speakers including the sub woofer go silent, should I have purchase a 2, 3 or 4 OHM instead of the 1??? Is the 1 drawing too much power and causing it to silence??? Thanks for any insight.

Most likely the stock speakers is 4 or 8 Ohm and you should have replaced it with the same Ohm load. Sometimes you can get away with half the ohm load of what the stock speaker is if you know the specifications of the stock amp.
