Another Viper bites the dust in Denver

Woman driving Viper killed in crash

KIOWA (AP) - One woman is dead following a grisly Monday morning crash along state Highway 86, west of Elizabeth.


Authorities say the victim was headed east in a Dodge Viper just after midnight, when she crossed the center line and smashed head-on into a semi-truck.

The semi then struck another eastbound vehicle before the driver could stop.

The crash spilled diesel fuel on the road, and forced authorities to close the highway for about seven hours. It reopened about 7:20 a.m. Monday morning.

No names were immediately released.
