Guys,

Typically I take my Viper to West Coast Viper in Temecula when I need some work (about 1.5 hour round trip for me.) This is OK when I need some big stuff done. Problem is that West Coast Viper's business is booming (just look at all the Vipers in their lot) and driving all the way out for something small and then having to leave my car overnight or for several days, arrange for a ride to get back home, arrange for a ride to get back out, etc., can become inconvenient. If I need to change a supercharger belt in the future, I would prefer to pay somebody to change that out for me than for me to dick with it for half the day (to be honest, I just have other things I would rather do.)

Some of you have guys local to you that will come out to your house to change a belt or do this or that -- you know, a few hours worth of work (or so you have told me.) I have 10 thumbs and know near nothing about engines, so I can't do any of this myself.

My questions is do any of you in the San Diego area know of a good mechanic that can do basic work on Vipers and will come out to your place to do it? Seems in this world of real-time things, more and more things are becoming mobile.

In addition to this, I have 2 cars and a SUV that I need to put stereo equipment into as well as a Nav system. Again the issue with having to drop off cars at a stereo shop. And to be quite honest with you, I am a bit nervous about dropping off a 1000 bhp Viper at a stereo shop run by early 20 something guys. I get enough of the "Holy [******], that is a bad ass car!" when I pull up in it, let alone leaving the car there for 3 days while they put in a super sound system.

So anyway, PLEASE let me know if you guys know of a mechanic and stereo installer in this area. I actually live in North County San Diego (San Marcos.)

Thanks,

Manny

take them to La Jolla Audio, talk to scott carincross or don, those guys do lambos, porsches etc, so a viper is no real big deal. I live in san marcos too so if you need a ride to west coast viper or back some time let me know

I went to La Jolla Audio when I first got my 94 RT/10. Their pricing was ridiculous in my opinion. I wanted a basic system (head unit, amps a sub and to replace the door speakers. Total price was around $7K for the system, with all but about $2,000 of it coming from labor. I was like, "Huh? No thanks."

La Jolla Audio does AWESOME work..But there prices are rediculous.
I was there last week and what they quoted me on my RT was more than 4 X what Tweeter quoted.

I can understand paying a premium over the big guys like Al and Eds,Tweeters etc..But 400 % more is robbery.
