GENI & GENII fuel filter #4708317 MSRP $37.50
GENIII [SRT's] fuel filter #52290801AB MSRP $120.00

Who in DC parts dept. came up with that price? "What are you, trying to retire early?"

The ONLY differences between the two filters are: GENI&II have the in & out lines at each end. The GENIII filter has both lines at one end.

I guess I'll be looking for an aftermarket filter!

The GOOD news...fuel filter is not something that I plan to change frequently...and at that price, one can ride the flatbed IF it clogs !!!! :D :D :headbang:

From my fuel line check valve experience, I know you can purchase the OEM ends and make an extension (so SRTs could use Gen 2 filters). I think they were ~$20? That would be a one-time charge, then use Gen 2 from then on.

Anyone have to change their fuel filter yet? Anyone have one clog or notice any fuel (specifically filter) delivery related problems?
