Anyone do the steering unit recall?

Any opinions regarding the factory recall of the repair to stabilize the steering unit (rack and pinion) on the gts that involves cutting and wleding parts on the chasis? I live in tallahassee and would like to get it done here, but there are not many experienced viper mechanics in the area.

Just so you know this has been discussed to death. Prob why no one is responding. Use the search feature. Typically the recall is best suited for racers who use sticky tires. Most others wont see a problem. But better safe then sorry. Do a search.

Yeah I did, for recall, steering unit, and rack and pinion. I guess I don't have a good eye. Anyway you've answered my question. thank you

I did the recall at Tator's. There's no cutting involved unless there is a problem. And in all the recalls he worked on, he encountered only 1 with a problem. There is some minor welding on the front.

...and make sure they get the triangular gusset plates rivited on the correct way (facing front). <speaking from recent experience/nightmare.
