Anyone experience with Viper Resistor Chip DV-5????

Hi there,

I saw an ebay this Viper resistor kit (item 7925946030) which claims to gain 20 hp. Is this for real or can it hurt the engine. Anyone who knows something about this, please let me know. Your help is appreciated!

Sounds bogus to me, especially from this disclaimer "This auction is for the fuel injected, non turbo: Dodge Viper".

My guess is it is a resistor added to the inlet temp sensor circuit. Net worth $.15.
