Anyone in the Chicago area able to help in a week or two? Found the right 1

After much excitement and dissapointment these past few weeks I found the right car and committed myself to it.

1994 RT-10 Red 22,915 miles, Brand new Michlen Pilot sports, Stress cracks in hood fixed through refiberglassing, All basic Maintenance done (ie: fluids)
Head gasket not an issue with this car has been checked and will be rechecked when I go see the car to finalize, it has the hard side windows, No curb rash on wheels or side pipes and I have the first right of refusal upon inspection.

I am going to fly into chicago and was wondering if I a could get someone to go with me who has had first hand experience with these cars. The Car is from Roanoke Motor Co. John Gastman tells me its a bit of a drive from Chicago so I am willing to cover Gas costs and a good Lunch. I will most like be going out on March 30th or April 1st depends on the boss. Yes the actual boss not the other boss.

Thanks to all of you who have helped me out the past few days. I look forward to meeting you all at the gathering's I have heard and read so much about.

Unless the head gaskets have already been replaced....They will be an issue, to the tune of about $2000. It doesn't matter if they leak now or not. You can count on that.

If you are going to see John Gastman, you don't even need to fly out and see the car! What ever John tells you believe it, he's as honest as they come!!

I ditto the comments on Roanoke and John Gastman. John found our 86 GTS for us.
He put me in touch with previous owner and helped set up deal on the car. Would not take
anything from either of us. Car was exactly as John told us. Bought the car on the spot.
We are taking our car to Roanoke for service this week.If you want I will be glad to look it over.
I can take a camera and take some pictures if you want. Let me know if I can help and good luck.

Head gaskets

John Told me that if the head gaskets are not leaking now chance they will not leak are good. The loan co. I am going through has warranties but I have to ask if they will work with a 1994. The fact that the head gaskets have not been done are my only concern.

Everything said above is great congrads BUT anyone who tells you that the head gaskets not leaking now means that you wont have an issue are blowing smoke ta you..They are and will be an issue and its not IF BUT WHEN THEY WILL NEED TO BE DONE..DON'T BLOW THIS ISSSUE OFF! Congrads and allocate the funds to do the job soon or have it done and be finished with it..
