Are they any good & where did you buy them?

Thanks

Well, that depends. If by L.E.D. Lights he means the replacement L.E.D. clusters that fit into your normal tail light socket, then there is nothing wrong with that. That simply means that the owner is trying to be seen better from the rear of the car at night, while not having to replace the bulbs for 100,000 hours, and use less juice from the electrical system. Also, the sneaky pete emblem center stoplight on the GTS uses L.E.D.'s. Although if he really means those "way cool" L.E.D. light bars, then all I have to say is pass the soy sauce.

I mean in Houston people tailgate so bad & the Viper tail light is not all that bright during the day. Yes replacement LED clusters same color just brighter. I thought it would look almost the same but brighter & as you said not have to replace bulbs. Mainly just brighter & easier to see. NO not rice looking. We put HID on front for us to see better, just thought it would be good to be seen from the rear better.

These folks sell just about anything LED, if there is a replacement bulb that will go in the Vipers tail light, they would have it:

www.ledtronics.com

Never had my tail light bulbs out, but maybe these??

You must be registered for see images

It is located on their: Automotive Page

I put LED tail lights on both my trailers and they are flat out worth every penny.

I think I paid $60 for them from Tractor Supply vs. about $7 for standard trailer tail lights. Even in the middle of the day, you can clearly see the stop and turn signals, they are that bright. Not like the incandecents which you had to be looking at VERY hard to even notice they were lit.

Next Up I'll be replacing all the running light with LED's as well. I love them.

Let us know what you find, bright tail lights will help keep people off your back bumper..

Unfortunately, no replacement from the Ledtronics automotive website.

edit: IPCW makes the 3157 LED bulb

THey can be purchased through www.truckperformance.com. I have used truckperformance before and had no problems with them. $28.99

I have never bought something made by IPCW.

Yeah I know what you were thinking. I work around the ship channel with a lot of trucks & you can really see those LED trailer lights.
Jay & Ulysses Thanks.
I was wondering if anyone had them, I remember reading somewhere here that someone tried them & I searched but can not find the thread.

Here are the ones I found http://www.viperstore.biz/html/viper_merchandise_.html

Howdy!

I also read that the latency of traditional incandescent bulbs -v- LED systems actually makes a considerable difference in stop times (for the driver reacting behind the LED lit car). I can't remember exact numbers (incandescent measured in milliseconds, LED in nanoseconds), but it was something like 15-20 ft @ 60MPH.

(I know there's also been some sites that refute the above, but I see more agreeing).

The wifey's 3-series Vert has LED taillights and you can see them clearly in any conditions (she also has factory HID's which give me a serious case of headlight envy, but that's another thread :) )
