Thank you for your continued interest and support for APEX Motorsports' LETHAL power packages. Since our announcement of the LETHAL 500 and LETHAL 600 packages several weeks ago, we have listened to dozens of VCA members about what they would like to see in our ULTIMATE performance package.
We have pored over this valuable information and embedded our commitment to offer ONLY THE BEST quality and performance parts at affordable prices while providing outstanding customer service.
As a compliment to our packages, we have finalized our
LETHAL 650 Package!!
Before I get to all the details, I felt it was important to share with some of the R&D, thoughts, and testing that went into this package.
1)Naturally aspirated power: Our first goal was to make this power with a naturally aspirated package. That means no nitrous, superchargers, turbochargers, etc.. We wanted to build a package that everyone could enjoy and use ALL THE TIME on the street, on the road course, and at the drag-strip.
2)Emissions sniffer friendly:APEX Motorsports is located in CA. So our next goal was to make sure that the package was emissions-sniffer friendly; meaning that it will pass the tailpipe test in CA and the rest of the states (this is different that being CARB legal; similar to the other tuners, our parts are not CARB certified).
3)Ultimate drivability: We wanted to create a package that would require little to no computer tuning, and not effect your normal cruising/driving; meaning your car would start and idle without a hiccup, and for all intensive purposes, until you mashed the throttle, the car would behave like a stock one.
4)Ulitmate reliability: Our philosophy at APEX Motorsports is 'WE CUT NO CORNERS'. There is a VERY GOOD REASON why we chose these parts for our package: they work GREAT together. We took many steps to ensure the parts were of the highest quality, built to withstand extreme conditions, and to provide you with thousands of miles of smiles!
5)Cost effective: Lastly, we wanted to make our packages cost-effective and represented significant savings for comparable packages.
Now, here are the parts of the LETHAL 650 Package:
1) K&N AIR FILTERS w/ OVERSIZE silicone smooth tubes and non-marring stainless clamps.
2) CORSA 3" CAT-BACK.
3) APEX/CDI HEADERS- upgraded stainless mounting hardware. Upgraded header gaskets. (Headers will not trigger Check Engine Light in '99-'01 Vipers.)
4) APEX HIGH FLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTERS
5) APEX EXTREME PEFORMANCE CYLINDER HEADS- Although the stock heads are decent, we prefer the MOPAR performance heads. We tested both, and were sticking with the MOPAR heads! They provide improved air flow, better cooling, offer far better seats and guides, and are use superior castings and design. Best of all, you get to keep your stock heads which improves resale value and
collectability, and diminishes down time of your vehicle considerably.
6) APEX CUSTOM CAMSHAFT w/ TRUE ROLLER ADJUSTABLE TIMING CHAIN
7) T&D 1.7 ROLLER ROCKER ARMS (w/chromoly pushrods)- We tested some and found these can stand up to EXTREME conditions.
8) EXTRUDE-HONED intake
9) APEX AIR BOX w/ removed rain baffle and carbon fiber outlets
10) Billet aluminum throttle bodies
11) UNITRAX HALF SHAFTS- we've tried them all. These are the best by far.
12) FLUIDYNE RADIATOR w/180 degree thermostat and silicone radiator hoses - keeps engine temps down
13) PERFORMANCE/SFI approved HARMONIC CRANK BALANCER
14) HIGH PERFORMANCE SPARK PLUG WIRES w/ built-in HIGH TEMP BOOTS- We tested the stock ones and found that the high performance wires provided a much more powerful spark!
15) 'LETHAL 650' serialized Carbon Fiber badge and hood decals
16) INSTALLATION of the above components
17) Before and after dyno charts showing horsepower, torque, and air/fuel ratio
18) Pictures and short digital video documenting installation and verifying dyno testing
I WILL POST THE FINAL PRICES LATER TODAY! Due to the nature of the installation, we have decided that this package will offered as 'parts and installation' only. We work with a few reputable carriers that can safely transport your car to and from our 6000 sqft. facility.
