Does the stock Alpine unit have an aux input on the back side? I want to hook up my mp3 player...any options besides replacing the stock deck?
cheers :scool:

I doubt it considering they were available in the 96s when I dont think most aftermarket head units had aux input, you can probably add one by way of a wireless fm adapter however a wired fm adapter will have better sound quality

I've had a wireless FM adapter. Sound quality was terrible, especially with the engine running. Too much interference.

The FM wireless ***** just as previously stated. There are companies that install AUX jacks in stock stereos on the web, I am looking into this for my Excursion, if all goes well the Viper is next. I found www.factoryradioservice.com

A wired FM module that goes through the antenna is the way to go. You can buy digital ones (mount in glove box etc) so you can change the FM band via wireless remote.

Maybe $20 or so on the Bay!
