Just thought I would share my newest finding.

I have an Aero Built 2002 Viper GTS ACR.

I went back to stock after the rebuild, which lasted about 6 months. Then I needed more power

Stock rebuilt Arrow got me 430.19 rwhp and 478.88 rwtq

Then I did T&D's and B&B headers with Random Tech High Flow Metalic Cats and Random Tech Cat back (being ACR, I have tubes and Filters from factory):

Mopar Computer: 478.67 rwhp and 526.96 rwtq (gotta love that Mopar PCM)
1998 Computer: 475.51 rwhp and 519.30 rwtq
Stock 2002 Comp: 474.86 rwhp and 521.75 rwtq

I will not run against you while you are in drag. I'm interested in this weekend, but with my temperature gauge pegged currently, I don't know...

CHAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude we gotta get together sometime. The mottly crue: you, me, chris (my ******), Mike and your ******. Had way too much fun last time we all hung out, not to do it again.

BTW, I am SUPPPPPPPPPPPOSED to say its all stock internals, original creampuff insides. But.. what you are alluding too...... well I think I would let my dyno numbers answer that... while forged pistons wouldnt change you HP, I bet the OTHER parts you put in to make a 96 motor would :-D

Jon,
If you guys want to come down to sunny 70 Florida Winter you got a a place to stay. Remember I am in North Florida so not near the drive as last time. We can hang at the beach. Since my Divorce I have become quite the socialite down on the beach. Plenty of really hot chicks to go around and did I mention that they are really into guys that drive Vipers. :D

Very impressive #s!

I have a 2001 GTS and was thinking of going with a Roe blower for $7500, but I like the simplicity (and safety) of staying n/a and just doing rockers, full exhaust, and tubes and filters (already have those) to pull off respectable #s like that.

How does it feel compared to stock, major difference throw back in the seat or just harder smooth pull all the way through?

I figure a stock 2001-2002 puts down around 400-420rwhp and 440-450rwtq SAE so 50+rwhp and 75+rwtq has to make a nice difference.

Yeah, the only problem with Booooost (besides avoiding Paxton Automotive because their DIY Viper kit is a total piece of junk) is that you will lose a lot of your warranty, if you dont have a viper friendly dealership. Plus you dont have to worry about SC belts braking, or slipping, or constant use (heat soak) issues on the track, or hot summer days that get you heat soaked if you avoid SC and stick with NA. Its not that I am against boost, I think its great, if you dont mind not being consistent on the power levels due to heat soaking at times. But I would always prefere NA power over Boosted power. Unfortunetly to make the same NA power as a roe boosted car, would take a lot more money. We'll see where I go next, but I definetly am not stopping at the current numbers. A VEC 2 sure would be a nice addition. BTW, my original 2002 put down 410 rwhp and 450 rwtq, so yes, there is a nice improvement with this combination. I am going drag racing today, and we'll see what those kind of power numbers get me.

What did you get after the T&Ds and headers?

Mike did not do well in math class......that is why he gets lost plotting out his trips, wether it is by car or helicopter.

Post those 1/4 mile times.

Don't forget 60', 1/8, and trap speeds also.

Good luck and lets see some mid-high 11s at 122+ on radials.......

Here you go:

[email protected] on OEM 335/Pilot sport Radials
1.8698 60 Foot

[email protected] on OEM 335/Pilot sport Radials
1.8690 60 Foot (This was my very next run, which also was my "back up run", to prove the 1st wasn't a fluke )

Also had a (2)11.60's, (2)11.70's and my worst one was an (1)11.90's

Total of 7 passes done.

Jon -

That is very impressive.

Throw a pair of Kumhos on there and knock those 60's down by .1 and you are running solid 11.3-11.4s!

You really got me thinking of this set-up over a blower, safety reasons with my creampuff.

Thank you, appeciate it. My 2 cents on DR's is I just dont really dig them. I love to go to the track with what I drive everyday, and I wouldnt really drive on DR's every day, because I love to corner agressively. So I know if I showed up with DR's I would be "cheating" in my book. Kinda silly. But I want to go as fast as possible on Legitamit Street tires !! Expect my numbers to go lower, there are a few more mods on my list, that should help. Wont be getting them really soon, but I will eventually get them.

Kumho Ecsta V700 are regular radials, just VERY sticky compared to pilots, and less $$$ also.

On my Stang I have BFG DRs, although without slicks any tire is like ice skating, but they are a nice compromise.

I'm like you, I run my car on the track as it runs on the street.
