Isn't it true that front-end covers cause more damage than they do to prevent scratches and nicks. I had the Mopar one on my GTS and while it felt great for the paint in the short term, it was lousy on my paint for the long term.
HERE IS WHY I'll NEVER BUY A FRONT-END COVER AGAIN.
1. Dust and stuff that gets raised from the shoulder will settle in the small spaces between the paint and the cover.
2. Rain causes havoc on anything that gets lodged in those spaces.
3. If your Viper is parked under the sun, you will notice slight fading over time.
4. The cover will tear at high speeds. And when it does it caused more paint damage than any touch up job can fix. Mine tore at 150mph. Well I do those speeds once in a blue moon, but the last thing I'd want to worry about is a torn cover. I'd rather have a mildly scratched Viper than a totalled one.
5. It looks ugly and if it's only function is to save the paint (which is doesn't do) so why do I want it?
Here's what the painter I gave my car to quoted, "We love front-end covers. They generate so much work for us."
In my experience, the front end cover SOLVES NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO. Buy at your own risk. I have nothing against SpeedLingerie and have not used their product.
