I hope after reading all the tales of the vipers end that for the last hurrah for the vert they
put the coupe's rear on it. That alone would increase vert sale's for 2 years, IMHO. For a
really fine fairwell would be to have curves brought back in the body design. A very few minor
changes could get the viper we have today to year 2011. Add a supercharger for the last
year and no one will ever forget the VIPER.:headbang:

long live the dodge VIPER!!!!!!!!!!

Disagree. Leave them as two distinct cars. Historically, the rear is a trademark of distinction between the two. If anything remove the lip off the trunk of the vert, but don't make it just like the coupe.

The best cosmetic change would be making the hood include the tops of the fenders. That could be done without going back to the clamshell, which is why they went with a standard hood anyway.

I'd also prefer the vert went back to the targa style or whatever we're calling it, but that probably aint gonna happen.

I would leave it alone. The rear of the vert looks great, especially with the black-out that comes along with the stripes. The only thing I would do to these cars (for the next few years) is offer a 3.33 rear gear option, more color changes and ever-changing wheel options, and continued handling improvements. Any body changes could be limited to a slightly more aero front nose design.

Otherwise, I'd leave it alone (in this environment where any major investment will be severely scritinzed).

This could turn into a whole new thread debate again, about what Chrysler should or shouldnt do. But I agree with you, just subtle changes.

I would be happy if they ran the 08 600 hp for a few more years. Its a great looking car. Mix in a few new colors or wheels. I always thought the car should come from the factory with a coilover system. Now there doing it on the ACR's. I think the 09's and on could have coilovers, maybe drop a 100lbs or so and still be a great car for many years, without being outdated.

I disagree. The only thing that the vert needs is the rear diffusers painted black with solid colors (same with the coupe), it makes it look more up to date. haha don't laugh when I say this but I think its time to update the vipers interior (like just use the radio thats in all of the other dodge/chrysler models). The new panels and two tone interiors really helped but I think they could do a little bit more. I'm not saying make it luxurious, I'm just saying a few tweeks like the radio and the AC nobs, could make the viper look a little bit newer.

BTW i agree if the viper lost 100 pounds it would make it even better!

Nothing to fix! Leave the vert the way it is. I like the distiction between the vert and coupe, and my preference is the vert, not only because the top goes down...

Even on the GenII I wish they would have made the RT/10 rear look just like the GTS but make it a Targa top. Adding a pair of turbos wouldn't be a bad thing either. Make the last year a big bad asp.

If Dodge gave the OPTION of a TT-V10 @ 1000hp...I bet everyone of them would sell out before the "standard" Viper. It would only take about 10-15psi. Easy to do on pump gas. They could charge 150k and they would still sell.
