Hi,

A friend and I have been busy doing mods to my Viper. One of the mods were installing a set of Belanger headers.

We had to do some serious replumbing of the wiring to make the O2 sensor reach the header O2 **** on the drivers side.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The O2 sensor on the passenger side had to be replumbed else its wiring was right on the headers.

If anyone else ran into this, what was your remedy?

Thanks,
Cal

Hey Brian,

That is normal with headers! Use the same gauge wire and solder ALL your connections! Also make sure your O2's are down at the collectors! If your "Belangers" are new ones, you will need to weld in the bungs at the collectors so the O2's can read ALL five cylinders per side.

Thanks for the reply Chuck. They guy helping me with the install used to be a mechanic at a Cadillac dealership and was concerned about extending the wires as apparently on the GM products the resistance of the wires figures into the setup and can cause the computer to throw a code, or mess with the fuel/air mixtures.

Thanks again,
Brian
