best location to place jack?

decided to change out my battery to a yellow top optima-any suggestions on where the best place is to lift the viper in the back?

also-anyone else have an optima battery in their viper?

Best location to place the jack is at the jacking points - the loop of 3/8" diameter rod that is welded to the frame just in front of the rear tires and just behind the front tires - its there to lock the stock scissors jack in place. Of course, if you've got a low enough floor jack, you can also use the underside of the suspension attachments to the axle - then you don't have to jack up quite as high, as the suspension will remain loaded.

This fit right in my car without modification. I also put one in Mike's car the day after my cruise, it also went in with no problems.

I believe yellow top doesnt have as many cold cranking amps, but are awesome for stereo due to there fast dishcharge and recharge rate. I would go with the redtop

Just remember some Vipers have clearance problems with the Optima posts. You might want to check your clearance before you buy the battery. And of course don't cut down the post to make it fit.

ok so I recruited a guy to come over and change the battery for me, took the day off of work, supposed to be 55 degrees out and sunny, and me in my Viper that's been sleeping since Nov

yehp, just figured that out! haha ran back to autozone, returned the yellow top, tried to fit the red top in and it wouldn't go

thanks to the threads here, saw somebody else got the 75/35 to fit ran back again to autozone and got the 7535

fit like a champ

viper is up and running again!!!!! can't wait for Saturday-supposed to be sunny and 70 degrees!!!!!
