Big Brake Install Questions for Gen1

I’m having some problems with the alignment of the bracket for Dave's kit. Since it's a holiday, I'm hoping I can get some advice from the board. I've got a Gen1. Here’s what is happening. Has anyone else seen this issue? Since I got the front kit only, I don't think I could have anything backwards.

1)There are some curved cutouts in the spindle tabs where the original calipers are mounted. These cutouts keep the brackets from aligning properly. This is shown in arrow “B” in the picture.
2)There are no bolts of correct size for the threads that hold the spindle, location A. Even the holes in the bracket are too small for the thread size.
3)The bolts that appear to connect the bracket to the spindle tab threads, location “C”, appear to be too short. Going through the bracket, there are only 3 threads visible.

On the GenII, the tabs get cut off. Not sure about Gen I's. I bet if you call Big Brake Dave today he'll most likely answer his phone. He never rests.

Thanks. For some reason that post didn't show up on my search. Guess I need to get better with my search words.

I tried calling Dave first, but I suspect that even Dave takes a day off once in a while.

Since these are fronts, the tabs should stay, but grinding the lip seems reasonable. However, I'm still stuck with a spindle thread that is larger than the hole on the bracket and a bolt with only 3 threads showing.

It seems very simple to install, so I'm either forgetting something basic or something isn't quite right. My hopes for a Labor Day weekend install may be fading.

For those reading, this turns out to be one of those "A Gen1 is always a little bit different" scenarios. Dave was great in working things out over the phone with me.

Sounds like a plan. I may do one side when the parts come in from Dave this week. I'll save the driver side for Saturday.
