If they have a flex pipe in them, don't use the springs and just use the mount at the turnout. If they have no flex pipe, use the springs (no fun to install). No welding should be necessary. Install all the pipes on the head loosely, then slip the collector on, wiggle and push into place, then tighten bolts.
