Sparking pads don't sound good to me either! Brake disc's that glow...hmm.

Asbestos is now banned from being added to pads, a lot of metallic flakes are now in the compound. (Shouldn't be sparking off though!)

Alan "Lowrider" magazine has already beat you to the punch. They installed hydros, wire wheels & airbrushed paint to a RT-10 about 4 years ago. Dog ugly too!!!!

you guys are missing the point.

The Low Rider technology will allow Snake People to drive their cars over speed bumps, driveway swails, and anything else that will rip their air dams off.

I would like all info on what is involved to "lift" a snake.

(Like all of those "how low" jokes and the referal to the snake (it being the lowest) is not far from the truth.)

The race brake pads I use in my brake kit spark (no, not the reason I bought them

.) They are PFC brand (I'm a distributor) and are the same ones used by ORECA and most Indy Car and Winston cup teams. Here's a picture of my car braking at night with the 99 compound race pads.

Dave try searching for Lowrider Magazine's web site. They probably have a photo of it on there. It was one ugly *** ride though. They ruined the car.

At Le Mans (98) at night in turn 12 the rotors would glow as the cars slowed from 180+ to about 35mph. Did not notice the sparks but likely there were small sparks as material was removed from the rotors and pads. I think most of the cars used carbon-fiber rotors? Turn 12 at night was a visual highlight with the rotors glowing and the Porsche headers glowing as they accelerated out of turn 12.
