Yo Mad,

Normal precipitation will not affect them as not much rain will drive through the naca duct and make it to the filters as they are behined the radiator, HARD driving rain my get the filters wet, but i believe that the oil coated filters repel water to a certain degree.

As for horsepower gains, they are over stock. Most smooth tube and K&N upgrades that pass through the factory air box are worth about 5 rwhp on a chassis dyno. These are less restrictive products that have resulted in more power gained, not to mention they LOOK GOOD! What else can you buy for that money that will enhance the look of the engine compartment more? I know of gas caps that cost over 500 bucks with no added performance.

BTW, you do a great job bangin the keyboard, keep bangin!

I agree! A red finish to match the engine would be great. Chrome is kind of ..... well, tacky; at least for me.

5 rwhp gain over smoothies and K&N's? Hum ...

Jeremy,

Very good questions. I have ran a very similiar product on turbocharged v-6 buick Grand Nationals for tens of thousands of miles and those things get very hot under the hood, especially the intake tube that sits next to the turbo heat shield(for those who are familiar)and I have never had a problem with the chrome discoloring or peeling or looking anything but like brand new. I am working with the manufacturer to provide me with a Lifetime warranty on the finish of the tubes. Im 99% that It will be offered as there isn't enough heat in their location to cause any defects in the finish of the tubes.

Powder coating is suceptable to chipping and peeling, and ceramic coating while it works great on Headers still needs ocasional maintenance(polishing) to retain its luster. Chrome is the bright mirror shine that lasts forever, and a squirt of Windex now and then is all that is needed to keep it bright.

thanks again for the questions,

tom
