I always use the same set of keys. the other day I used the other set. Car wouldn't lock so I figured the FOB needed a new battery. Replaced it and still won't lock or unlock the doors.

If it's dead for a long time will it loose communication with the car? Can I reprogam just the one?

TIA,
Carl

...and, NO...if you do need to reprogram the FOB, you will need to do both FOB's at the same time.

My chassis manual says that both key fobs should be used every so often because about every 250 uses the synchronization changes enough so that if one hasn't been used it'll need to be re-syn'd to get it to work.
