Can\'t decide on Roe \"color\". opinions anyone?

Hey guys,

I decided to buy a Roe SC kit polished and can't decide on what i want to do with the intake tubes. I have a Silver with Blue Stripe ACR (99) and i dont like a lot of contrasting colors.
I was thinking of getting the standard intake tubes powedercoated red like most of the roe kits but the red is a lot different from the valve cover red. I have an option to get the valve covers powdercoated too so then i will have my choice of colors for both.

With the silver/blue GTS and the polished blower, what color combo for the intake tubes and valve covers would be best?
-Keep it all red?
-Get the valve covers done in silver with blue "viper" lettering then get the intake tubes either silver with blue lettering or all viper blue?

I just can't decide :) Has anyone got some opinions on this? have you seen a certain combo that looked killer? I tried searching for some pictures but came up empty on anything different.

Thanks!

Blue tubes with the polished blower housing and powder coat the valve covers a silver color. Maybe you can have someone photoshop what it would look like first.

I used to turn wrenches with an old guy that hated the "Body by Fischer" moniker by GM and always said Chevy's theory was..."If it don't go...Chrome it..." :2tu: meaning that if Chevy couldn't decide on a color or finish, they just chromed it.!! Ha Ha Ha.

When I had a cam cover powder coated red the shop that did mine had about 30 different shades of red. I'd do the red to match the valve covers if it were mine.......check around with other powder coaters maybe. My $.02 worth.

I went with color matching and it turned out great.

Now that looks NICE! :) is that color matched to your car color? Powdercoating is VERY hard to get it to match but i guess ill take close enough.

Im thinking Silver valve covers, intake tubes and get the lettering in the viper blue to match the stripes. just a little contrast in there.

Go Chrome if you can't decide...

I love the chrome, trust me. but that still leaves the valve covers with something to do or leave red.

Keep the valve covers stock, polish the blower, and powdercoat the intake runners for the blower blue like Blade Runner.

Re: Can\'t decide on Roe

How do the intake tubes come from Roe?

They come with a silver finish and red lettering.

I think im going to go the valve covers, intake tubes, and surrounding peices the viper BLUE that matches the stripes on my car. Should be a nice contrast with the stripes and stand out pretty nice.

I would chrome the tubes and stuff but the cost and downtime for that is crazy. Generally 4-6 weeks for chroming and its 3 x's the cost of not more from powdercoating.

I liked the contrast of the red motor, so I went with this. It looks better now with the matching new airbox. However, I also like the the setups that match the color of the car....as well as chrome too.

Re: Can\'t decide on Roe

I know that most people are adamant about powder coating the engine, but I didn't like the color mismatch and had mine painted using the normal Viper paint. I was told that it would not be a problem as long as I did not clear coat the paint. So far it has held up fine.
