car won\'t start

Hey guys

I tried to start my car this afternoon and all it does it make a clicking noise and nothing. The battery is put in back in December, never had this problem before.

What do you think it is??

I would guess that it is the battery or the battery posts.

Sounds like a dead battery to me. New batteries can die too, if they're not maintainted. Have you had it on a battery keeper?

No I haven't had it on a batter keeper and I haven't driven the car yet its been in my garage since January, I have been starting it up every weekend letting it get up to operating temperatures, and moving it a ft or two to get it off the tires, but no problems until today.

Did you have the alarm set? If so, it will drain a new battery in a matter of weeks.

Push start it. Maybe the battery will re-charge after an hour or so of driving.

No i never had the alarm set cause I know it will drain the battery, all my gauges, stereo work etc, I just get a constant clicking noise as I try to start it.

your starter may be bad,if the battery is good ,i say its the starter.

Maybe the good 'ole trick with the hammer will work on the starter so that you might not have to replace it
