just finished my first spark plug change. 
just got my 2000 r/t a month ago w/ 14.5k miles. these were for sure the original plugs. the wires were dated 1/03 so i didn't change them out, and since this was a leased car i figure they didn't change the plugs. overall, not too bad. #9 (driver side closest to the windshield) and #10 (pass. side closest to the windshield) were the hardest to get out. #10, the last one i took out, actually broke at the tip, but eventually came out. really glad i did it now. they looked pretty worn.... dying to start it up, but it's snowing like crazy outside... 
what is the cake that forms on the plugs? almost like the battery acid. how much will this improve performance if any? have a great week!
